Toner Sifter

Alpine toner sifter TSP and TTSP

The toner classifiers TSP and TTSP were specially developed for toner dust removal. The demands on the end product quality in toner production are so high that particle counters (coulter counters) are used for quality control. The requirements for the dedusted coarse material are given in %, whereby the requirement generally allows 3-10 % < 5 µm.

During development, the main focus was on maximum selectivity, but aspects such as handling, safety, and operating and installation costs were also taken into account.

  • Selective one or two-stage fine classifier for the best coarse materials
  • Particularly suitable for toner and pigment classification, eg minimization of the finest fraction < 2 – 5 µm
  • Easy cleaning when changing products thanks to the hinged housing
  • Classifier wheel(s) arranged vertically

possible applications

Due to the risk of dust explosion when processing toner, the classifiers are manufactured in an explosion-pressure shock-resistant design up to 10 bar overpressure. A type examination certificate according to the ATEX directive 94/9/EG is available. Tandem toner sifters can be opened hydraulically. The toner classifiers are adapted to customer requirements with special designs:

  • stainless steel
  • Polished, R a 0.8 µm
  • Three fraction sifting for special toner applications. For this purpose, the sifter is equipped with a special sifting wheel in the 2nd stage and the sifting system is designed for the 3 fractions of toner powder, dust and coarse grain
