Alpine Polyplex PPC Shredder Granulator

In practice, the simultaneous feeding of a wide variety of plastic waste represents a significant advantage: pre-sorting or dosed material feeding are now a thing of the past!

The material is fed mechanically in the shredder area via the feed unit. The pre-shredded material falls into the granulator area by gravity and is finally granulated there to the fineness of the granulator. While the shredder rotor allows self-dosing, the cutting mill rotor guarantees product fineness of up to approx. 5 mm. The feed material is fed in via a pusher installed in the trough. This allows feed material lengths of up to 6 m.

Thanks to the combination of shredder and granulator , the comparatively small machine can, for example, process start-up chunks of up to several 100 kg – if necessary at the same time as profiles, pipes or trimmings.

Hollow body/injection molding:
The new Polyplex from Hosokawa Alpine can be used universally in in-house recycling. The decisive advantage: the combination of shredder and granulator on a common vertical shaft. The material is fed in self-dosing. Different plastic parts such as reject housings and sprues can be fed together – in a mix – or separately. The vertical design enables optimal accessibility to the grinding chamber. This not only guarantees quick cleaning of the mill when changing material, but also significantly reduces downtimes.

Slabs & chunks:
The Polyplex shredder granulator is ideal for crushing lumps and slabs. Chunks are first pre-shredded in the shredder area. Even chunks of several hundred kilos can be comminuted to the fineness of a granulator in one step – and with significantly less drive power. When processing panels, the design of the material receiving area guarantees problem-free grinding of panels of any thickness.

Profiles/Extrusion:
The length of the horizontal feed trough can be varied. Trough lengths for profiles and tubes in standard lengths of up to six meters are easily possible. Conclusion: The Polyplex shredder granulator is THE economical shredding solution for profiles and pipes of any length.
