granule molding machine

Hard shell soft core

Cylindrical, stable pellets with a uniform length are formed with the granule forming machine.

The granule forming machine is also called low pressure extruder, granulating machine or pelletizing machine. This process is referred to as extrusion.

Extrusion is carried out by a counter-rotating, hollow pair of toothed rollers. The product is drawn in by the rollers and pressed through nozzle bores or press nozzles. After the product has been compacted in the press channels, it emerges as cylindrical pellets on the inside of the toothed rollers.

Compression is determined by the ratio of nozzle diameter to nozzle length. The nozzle diameter is in the range of 1 to 10 mm. Depending on the required properties, either through-hardened pellets or just edge-hardened pellets can be produced.

The granulate molding machine can be designed to be dust and gas tight. Operation under inert gas and with solvents is possible without any problems.
