Band agitator dryer

The required thermal energy is introduced into the product through a heated jacket on the container wall.

When products have low moisture content and good flow properties, the ribbon agitator is an alternative solution to the auger agitator.

The jacket can be heated using steam, oil, water, etc.

Typical applications

Hosokawa belt dryers are ideally suited for drying brittle and /or heat-sensitive materials such as powders , granules , pastes and sludges .

A ribbon agitator can handle larger batches per pass, resulting in better heat transfer and therefore shorter drying times.
